What most people do not know is that there is more than one type of magnet, so today I would like to introduce you to Alnico magnets. The following information is from Magnets & Magnetic Equipment.
“Alnico is an alloy produced by mixing aluminum, nickel and cobalt with certain addition of other metals like copper, iron and titanium. Capable of producing strong magnetic field, it has an excellent linear temperature characteristics and has wide industrial applications.”
Alnico magnets are commonly used within loudspeakers, sensors, electric guitar picks, and electric motors.
